Build a presentation-ready chart

Start from a company template or a blank chart. Keep role labels short, group teams with departments and consider a Pass or Pro single-department export when the whole organization would be unreadable on one slide. Review the chart at presentation size before exporting.

Insert an export into PowerPoint

PNG is straightforward: in PowerPoint choose Insert, then Pictures, and select the exported image. PNG exports are fixed at 2× resolution; there is no size setting, and Free exports carry a watermark. Use SVG with Project Pass or Pro for crisp scaling and styling supported by PowerPoint. A PDF can be inserted as an object or shared as a separate handout. If your plan includes PPTX export, open the generated presentation and review the slide layout before using it.

What the export formats mean

PNG is a raster image; SVG is a scalable vector image; PDF is suited to print and sharing; PPTX creates a PowerPoint file. SVG, PPTX and single-department or subtree exports need Project Pass or Pro. CSV contains chart data and is not a visual slide asset.

Not always. Large teams become difficult to read when compressed. Export a department or leadership view (department export needs Project Pass or Pro), or split the organization across slides.
